Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Patrick McGinley received a B.S.B.A. degree, (Summa Cum Laude in Business Administration) from the University of Central Florida and a J.D. degree with Highest Honors from Florida State University College of Law where he was a member and Ausley Scholar of the Law Review. Patrick was also Editor-in-Chief of the law school’s international law journal and a member of Moot Court Team.

Partick’s current practice is primarily concentrated in the area of Appellate Law and Worker’s Compensation Insurance handling both trial and appeal of Worker’s Compensation cases throughout the state. Attorneys, employers, servicing agents, claimants and Worker’s Compensation Insurers have turned to Patrick for his insight into complex Worker’s Compensation Issues and for insight into new developments in the area of Worker’s Compensation Law. Patrick is the author of two books in the field of Worker’s Compensation Insurance: Florida Worker’s Compensation, a part of the Alpert’s Practice Series published by the Harrison Company and Florida Worker’s Compensation Law & Practice, a nationally distributed publication printed by West Publishing and part of West’s Florida Practice Series, as well as a leading civil litigation text published by West Publishing titled “Florida Causes of Action.” In addition to publishing treatises on Worker’s Compensation Law and civil litigation, Patrick has also produced a nationally distributed on-line Worker’s Compensation seminar for West Group and has authored articles on hospital Certificates of Need and bill collection.
